I like to incorporate pigments from the earth where I live to make my paintings. Most of my work is mixed media, which means i can expand my pallette with collage. But i also love vibrant colour, so i will use some commercial pigment and bind it with gum arabic or cherry sap to make transparent watercolours, and mix in clay to make opaque gouache
